Using a series of focused research questions, we explored better ways to communicate the story of SSH scholarship throughout Universities Canada’s Seizing Opportunities campaign and beyond. First, we analyzed statistics describing the state of SSH scholarship in Canada and how this would be completed by the Federation and Universities Canada. Then, we examined the broader economic contributions of SSH research to our quality of life.
Our goal is to better understanding of the relative investments we make in SSH research vs Natural Sciences research. Do we have the right balance between the two as the global economy evolves and the needs of Canadian society change?
